Evo 2010 Wrap up!

2:05 AM
More updates coming soon.

Just about anybody who's anybody in the FGC makes it out to Evo, the largest Fighting Game Tournament in the world. So along with the likes of some of the most popular names like Daigo the Beast, Mike Ross, Gootecks, Valle and others, FFN crew was there to represent!

Andyocr vs LPN Money Match!

On the srk forums, evol saiko got in touch with socal to challenge Andy to a money match with LPN, who he had previously faced off with at this year's NorCal Regionals. And so, we made it happen!

Thank you Andy and LPN for a great show and Risingtied for getting footage!

Shizza Takes Top 8!

This was our boy Shizza's first Evo and he fight all the way to grand finals, making top 8 in SSFIV! He was knocked out by none other than Daigo the Beast, but represented all the Chuns, pad warriors, and FFN crew out there! Congrats again, man!

Yammy Sponsored for Evo!

11:49 PM

Fedex Fight Nights have officially wrapped up, but we still hope to contribute to the community and urge everyone to keep the FGC growing productively in anyway they can!

This year's Evo 2010 is looking to be an incredible one! With over 2,000 entrants, it also marks its first SSFIV Women's Tournament. And FFN is proud to announce that we've sponsored Yameng Song to be apart of it. It's hard to say who might be top 8 in any category, but she's our pick for making it to the top in Women's! Let's show some support!

If you'd like to make any donations for her cause(funds going towards her stay, food, ect) You can donate here, and just leave a note 'For Yammy'. You can also leave some positive words and we'll be sure to pass them her way. :)

Finally, a big congrats to Shizza for winning the Farewell Fedex Fight Nights Party Tourney, which won him buy-in to Evo 2010. I'm positive we'll be seeing this guy crawling to the top of the pack as well! See you all there!

The Farewell Fedex Fight Nights Party!

Since the end of 2009 to present, FFN aimed to host casual SFIV sessions for the community that could run long hours and just focus on what sometimes gets forgotten in the process: the fun. A great group of players, monthly tournaments that were competitive but didn't take themselves too seriously, and the unconventional venue made for some great times and hype moments.

This June however, Fedex Fight Nights is coming to a close, and we're celebrating it with a farewell party! Details TBA.
This will be a limited RSVP event, please check our thread on SRK for more info and updates.

Tickets are now available for purchase!

About FFN

4:31 AM
The first Fedex Fight Nights was held Dec. 17th, 2009. Wakasashe, who works at a Fedex Office center, wanted to contribute a weekly gaming session to the Fighting Game Community(FGC) in Orange County.

FFN was inspired by the fight nights organized by influential FGC members: Dentron, Shglbmx, Alex Valle: Assembling some of socal's great players and pitting them against each other. 20 gamers meet up every Thursday night at Fedex in Huntington Beach, CA, and play till sunrise.

Countless asses have been delivered, right on time.
